Composition per liter:

Glucose .............................................................10.0g

Peptone .............................................................10.0g

Yeast Extract .......................................................5.0g

MgSO4·7H2O......................................................0.2g

MnSO4·4H2O....................................................0.05g

Tomato juice ............................................... 250.0mL

Preparation of Medium: Add components to dis

tilled/deionized water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix

thoroughly. Distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave

for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.

Use: For the cultivation of Lactobacillus fructivorans,

Lactobacillus homohiochii, Lactobacillus kefiranofa

ciens, and Leuconostoc oenos.
