pH 5.1–5.3 at 25°C
Solution A:
Composition per 100.0mL:
K 2 HPO 4 .......................................................................................10.0g
KH 2 PO 4 .......................................................................................10.0g
Preparation of Solution A: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 100.0mL. Mix thoroughly.
Solution B:
Composition per 100.0mL:
MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O................................................................................4.0g
FeSO 4 ............................................................................................0.2g
MnSO 4 ·5H 2 O................................................................................0.2g
NaCl..............................................................................................0.2g
Preparation of Solution B: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 100.0mL. Mix thoroughly.
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes
or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.
Use: For the cultivation and maintenance of Lactobacillus buchneri,
Lactobacillus delbrueckii, and Pediococcus damnosus.
