Growth Supplement Solution:

Composition per 10.0mL:

L-Leucine .......................................................30.0mg

L-Tryptophan .................................................20.0gm

Preparation of Growth Supplement Solu

tion: Add components to distilled/deionized water

and bring volume to 10.0mL. Mix thoroughly. Filter

sterilize.

Preparation of Medium: Add components, ex

cept growth supplement solution, to distilled/deion

ized water and bring volume to 990.0mL. Mix

thoroughly. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–

121°C. Aseptically add 10.0mL of sterile growth

supplement solution. Mix thoroughly. Aseptically

distribute into sterile tubes or flasks.

Use: For the cultivation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
