Composition per liter:

Pancreatic digest of casein................................10.0g

Glucose .............................................................10.0g

KH2PO4...............................................................6.8g

Yeast extract........................................................5.0g

NaHCO3 ..............................................................1.0g

Tween 80.............................................................0.5g

Sodium formaldehyde sulfoxalate ......................0.5g

CaCl2.................................................................0.02g

MgSO4 ..............................................................0.02g

NaCl..................................................................0.02g

pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C

Preparation of Medium: Add components to dis

tilled/deionized water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix

thoroughly. Adjust pH to 7.0. Distribute into tubes or

flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.

Use: For the cultivation of Propionibacterium species.
