Composition per liter:

Na2S2O3·5H2O .............................................................................. 5.0g

NaHCO3........................................................................................ 1.0g

Na2HPO4....................................................................................... 0.2g

MgCl2............................................................................................ 0.1g

NH4·Cl .......................................................................................... 0.1g

pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C

Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized

water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes

or flasks. Autoclave for 20 min at 6 psi pressure–109°C or filter steril

ize.

Use: For the cultivation of Thiobacillus species and Thermophilus

species.
